Paper angels for the New Year

The winged messenger has become one of the symbols of the winter holidays thanks to the legends about the birth of the infant Christ. Therefore, Christmas and New Year is accompanied by all sorts of figures and images of angels.

To make such a paper decoration, you will need:

  • smooth white (brown) paper;
  • a piece of shiny paper;
  • a piece of thick embossed paper with embossing;
  • napkin for scrapbooking;
  • original button;
  • double sided tape;
  • pencil, glue, scissors.

From the shiny paper should cut the wings and clothing of the future angel. For each of the parts you need to stick a piece of double-sided tape. Wings should be interconnected in the manner of the bow. The head is cut out of plain paper, and the angel's halo is cut out of the shiny one. On the face draw eyes, blush, mouth. A decorative thread is fastened behind the head to hang the future decor. In a place where the body and head are connected, they attach a decorative button.

Original Christmas snowflakes

Snowflakes are the most frequent decorative element accompanying the winter holidays. The simplest paper snowflakes are available for making even children. To do this, fold the square sheet several times to get a cone. Next, sharp scissors on a cone in different places cut geometric shapes. Also we make out a cut and a corner. After manipulating the paper, we unfold it and we get an openwork snowflake with a unique pattern.

More complex techniques allow you to make volumetric snowflakes. To do this, take one sheet of A4, 10 paper clips and glue. 6 identical strips are cut from the sheet. Three of them should be located at an angle of 90 degrees. to the rest. The average vertical must pass over the first and third horizontal. The remaining two - on the contrary. At the intersection of the strips they need to be fixed with clips. The edges of the parts should be connected so that the snowflake has 4 beams. In the same way it is necessary to make another blank. The second blank is placed on the first one at a right angle. Get a snowflake with 8 rays. The ends of the crafts need to glue. On one of the rays, you can attach a loop and hang the finished decoration in a prominent place.

Christmas tree toy paper

This simple crafts can be made together with the child. To do this, you need to prepare a thick decorative paper, a knife for it and glue, as well as beautiful thin ribbons and decor in the form of rhinestones, beautiful buttons and beads.

The blank looks like a Christmas ball cut out of paper. There should be no less than 10 of such details. The more pieces there are, the more interesting and longer the decoration will look. On top of each part a hole for the tape will be formed. After that, each blank must be folded in half and glued together between them along the fold line. Make it better at three points, and not the entire length. Where the tape is hung for hanging, you can add a bow or decorative detail from the list above. Also on the surface of the toy you can scatter a few rhinestones or buttons at will. In this way, it is possible to make not only a Christmas ball, but also any object of New Year's theme.

A garland of stars

The basis for this craft will be a finished electric garland with light bulbs. You will also need thick paper of several colors, a pencil, glue, scissors. From different sheets of colored paper need to cut the same stars. Their size should be slightly larger than the size of the lights on the garland. Choosing 2 stars of the same color, you need to glue them along the ends of the rays. After that, slightly pressing from the sides, you can open a small space between the glued parts. It should put one of the lights. Since the paper is thick, every star will be held firmly on the flashlight. Important note: for such crafts you should choose those garlands, whose bulbs do not heat up during their use!

Paper Christmas cones

For such crafts you will need a beautiful thick paper, glue, ruler, scissors, a beautiful thin rope or ribbon. For one bump it is necessary to cut 4 strips: two 1 cm wide and 10 cm long; two by 1.25 cm in width and 16 cm in length; one is 1.5 cm wide and 20 cm long. After that, they fold the accordion. Now you can start collecting cones.It is necessary to glue the parts together, starting with one of the smallest, then glue the middle and the biggest to it. Further to the big one they glue the middle and, finally, the small carmeshka. To the upper part of the resulting bumps attach rope loop. From such cones you can collect a whole garland and decorate it with windows, walls or Christmas tree. For the garland, it is better to choose colored paper so that each lump will have its own color.

Master class: a snowflake in the technique of quilling

For the manufacture of openwork snowflakes will require:

  • paper;
  • pencil, ruler, glue, scissors;
  • special tool for quilling or wooden stick for manicure.

Wooden stick prepare for work. At the pointed end should be made notch depth of 4 mm. By fixing in it thin, 3-4 mm wide strips of paper, we form dense rolls.

Carefully remove the part and let the rings relax a bit. Then we clamp on one side and glue the tail to the figure. The result is an openwork drop. We make such 6 pieces.

Next, we begin to make other parts in the form. We fold a thin long strip of paper in half and wind it up on each side to the middle. We also make 6 pieces.

The next step is a new figure. It is similar to the previous hearts, only the ends are screwed out, not inward. As a result, we get 6 birds.

Further from the received parts we start to collect a snowflake. In the center lay out the droplets. After that, insert hearts into the intervals between the droplets. By the same principle further insert the birds.

Next, make leaves. They are also made as droplets, only the roll should be clamped on both sides. These figures are glued to the center of the birds. The result is a charming tender snowflake.

Master class: cardboard ball

For the manufacture of 3D Christmas ball, you can use colored cardboard, bright postcards or thick designer paper. For work, you need to prepare glue, scissors, compasses, or any object that allows you to draw the correct even circle. You need to start by drawing 20 identical circles from the selected paper.

Then you should bend each circle twice to outline the center. Then you should straighten the part and bend one of its sides to the center. Also come with two other parties. The result is triangles. With the rest of the circles do the same. 10 of the circles are glued together in a line between two sides. The resulting strip is glued to the ring. This is the base of the future ball.

The remaining 10 circles are glued together in 2 small caps of 5 pieces each. Lids are glued to the top and bottom of the ring, made earlier. Before this, a loop of a beautiful thread is passed through one of them.

Any homemade paper toy can be made even more attractive with glitter, beads, ribbons, decorative buttons and rhinestones. A great way to add gloss to such crafts is to process them with gold or silver spray paint.

Numerous ideas for paper toys will create a unique and memorable decor. Children will be happy to personally participate in the creation of Christmas and interior decorations. This will help develop their imagination, perseverance and fine motor skills of hands.
