Adults recall school years with warmth in their hearts and nostalgia. The younger generation, which now passes all the delights of school everyday life, is not always an academic year that seems fun and entertaining. Therefore, children are periodically allowed to rest from books and notebooks.

Due to the periodization of school time and holidays, children are looking forward to the longest vacation period - summer. After all, it is in these 92 days you can not think about the lessons, early ascents and hard routine.

According to the new regulations on vacations for 2018-2019, not all schools will have a rest at the same time. Study breaks will be available at the end of each quarter.

General Vacation Principles and Provisions

According to the law, in every school children should be given free time to rest from classes. The duration of these breaks is governed by the law of the Russian Federation "On Education", as well as the charter of each school. Periodization on the calendar is developed and approved by educational institutions.

An important factor is that the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation itself does not set exact dates for the onset and end of school holidays. It only gives advice on the time of arrival of the rest and the periods of training in quarters or trimesters.

Depending on the status of the general educational institution (school or gymnasium), pupils may be given additional time for rest. First grade students are additionally given a seven-day vacation in February.

In any academic year there should be at least 30 days for rest, and for first-graders - at least 35 days. Summer holidays should last at least 56 calendar days. For all, the compulsory date for the start of the school year is September 1.

Schedule holidays for schools and gymnasiums (2018-2019)

According to the above recommendations of the relevant authorities, vacation periods are distributed as follows:

  • autumn 7 days;
  • winter 14 days;
  • spring 7 days;
  • in summer at least 56 days.

Taking into account public holidays for the autumn or winter holidays can be added 2 days on November 4 and the New Year. Thus, for schools, gymnasiums and lyceums in the 2018-2019 school year, the following schedule is provided:

  • Autumn holidays - October 27 - November 5, 2018;
  • winter holidays - December 26, 2018 - January 8, 2019;
  • Spring holidays - March 23 - March 31, 2019.

The junior school begins its summer holiday on May 23, 24 or 25. The remaining parallels, except for 9 and 11 classes, begin to rest from June 1. Graduation classes depend on the schedule of examinations and graduate from the end of May to the end of June.

In 2018, Unity Day falls on Sunday. Therefore, the autumn holidays this year will begin on October 29, 2018 and end on November 5. These 8 days will be added the weekend of the 27th and 28th, which will be a total of 10 free days. This is a great opportunity to take a break from lessons, spend time with friends and relatives, as well as draw up and implement a cultural and entertainment program with visits to museums and theaters.

After December 25, 2018, Russian schoolchildren begin winter holidays, including the New Year holidays. They will last until January 9, 2019. Such a long vacation will get a lot of pleasure from celebrating the most anticipated holidays of the year. For children, this is especially important. You can not be interrupted by school assignments and other activities that distract from fun events and spending time with your family.

In addition, time can be spent at ski resorts, in interesting places in Russia or in warm foreign resorts. Shorter vacations could create problems in this part of vacation plans. During this period, numerous mass events are offered throughout the country to entertain children and young people.

Spring break starts from March 23. Already on April 1, students will have to start classes, but during this time you can catch a lot of interesting things. The third quarter will be the longest this year. After her rest will be the most expected and useful. Qualitative relaxation allows you to end the school year without problems. It is important to spend as much time as possible in the fresh air. This may be walking, active games or organized public events with family and friends. You should also take time to catch up on lost material in order to start exploring new items fully armed.

Alternative vacation schedule

A sufficiently large number of Russian schools, based on the decision of the parent committees, came to the decision to train their wards within trimesters. The school year is divided into 3 parts. This is somewhat different from the curriculum of the training plan, which is designed for students studying in quarters.

The scheme of periodization of training and vacation cycles in this case is as follows: 5-6 weeks of study and 7 days of holidays.

In the 2018-2019 school year, it will look like this:

  • October 7-13;
  • November 18-24;
  • December 29 - January 8;
  • February 18-24;
  • April 8-14;
  • June 1 - August 31.

For first-graders, additional holidays are scheduled for February 25 - March 3, 2019. This will help kids to get used to the training mode faster, without experiencing the stress of excessive workload in the first year. In some schools for first-graders rest is set for dates from February 1 to 4. Correctional educational institutions adhere to the general mode of rest.

Relevance information about the holidays

During the year, vacation schedule information may undergo minor changes. This may be associated with the decision of the school administration or with the transfer of national holidays.

In the Moscow Department of Education, a unified curriculum is being developed for those who study on modular and traditional systems. To get acquainted with the current vacation schedule and their changes for the 2018-2019 academic year, just go to the official information portal of the educational institution, where all relevant information should be displayed. Also, parents can use the electronic diary of the child, if it is provided for by the regulations of a separate educational institution. In addition, you can simply call the school secretary and get all the necessary information.

With the necessary data, you can competently organize the leisure of the child and better prepare him for the assimilation of new material in the coming trimester or quarter.
