Emma Morano-Martinuzzi became the first Italian long-lived. The years of her life stretched from 11/29/1899 to 04/15/2017. From 05/12/2016 to 04/15/2017, one held the title of the oldest inhabitant of the earth. The woman remains to this day the oldest resident of Italy in history. Misao gave birth to three children. 02.27.2013 Guinness Book of Records recognized her as the oldest woman living on earth. At 117 years and 27 days, Okawa died of heart failure in a nursing home.

Maria Esther Heredia de Capovilla
